A private Venetian villa, with a typical structure of the great design houses of the ’70s. The interiors have been maintained with the precious materials of the tradition, such as the dark wooden ceiling beams of rectangular section. Some furnishings have instead been replaced with other more modern ones. In the dining room and in the living room there are two Palladio chandeliers.

The dining room

The dining room features the bright-white Palladio 10 arm, one tier chandelier, elegantly hanging above a white-painted glass and steel table. The whole room conveys the contrasts between tradition and innovation through simple and elegant shapes. A single place encompasses the evolution of styles throughout more that 60 years of Italian history. The stone masonry fireplace, with its hand-carved river stones, evokes the colours of the countryside. In this way, the straight-cut dining table, with its crystal top reflecting the white colour of both the curtains and the walls, looks even more welcoming and cosy. All these pieces of furniture blend perfectly with the room’s dark ochre walls that match the table chairs with the same colour.
Characteristic white and ochre wall plates also play their part in this balanced mix of styles. They all have a connection with the object that encompasses the evolution of Italian design: the ceramic lamp of Bassano.
The furnishings feature soft and elegant shapes, with sober, never too flashy, low relief items. This is a telling example of the “Made in Italy” art and culture.

Living room

The dining room leads into the living room which features a ceiling with massive exposed wood trusses. The Palladio ceramic chandelier, a larger sample of that of the dining room, is the focal point of the living room. This is the common theme of the two rooms. This stunning chandelier, which can be seen from the doorway, the dining room and the attic, remarkably adds character to its context. Moreover, the bright white colour makes this artwork look even more remarkable by enhancing the room’s light and creating a wide range of reflections.
The same unmistakable style as that of the famous Razzetti chandelier.
